01 / My approach

Systematic strategies.
A discretionary edge.

Repeatable rules define the framework. Market context and experience guide which opportunities I take, when I wait and how I execute.

THE SYSTEMATIC FOUNDATION

Rules I can repeat.

I build setups around higher-timeframe structure, trend, momentum and volatility. Entry conditions, invalidation, position sizing and staged exits give each trade a consistent framework.

My toolkit includes the 21/55 EMAs, 200-period moving averages, momentum confirmation and volatility analysis. Each helps answer a specific question about the setup.

THE DISCRETIONARY EDGE

Judgment in context.

A technical signal is one part of the decision. I weigh the market regime, macro events, liquidity and the quality of the setup before committing capital.

That judgment shapes trade selection and timing: act on the plan, wait for confirmation or pass on the opportunity. Discretion operates within predefined risk limits.

01

Identify the setup

Use consistent trend, momentum and volatility criteria to find a trade worth evaluating.

02

Apply the context

Assess market structure, macro conditions and liquidity. Decide whether to act, wait or pass.

03

Define the risk

Set invalidation and position size before entry. Build the trade around a planned loss and staged exits.

04

Execute & review

Manage the position against the plan, update the thesis and review the quality of the decision.

The aim is a repeatable process with room for informed judgment—and a clear boundary on risk.

02 / Meet TraderBoris

Independent trader.
Experience earned
in the markets.

I’m Boris Friedman. I left Wall Street to pursue trading full-time in 2020, managing my own capital and money for friends and family. That responsibility shaped my focus on risk, consistency and the decisions behind every position.

After establishing myself as an independent trader, I went on to work with top global cryptocurrency exchanges and other crypto firms. I brought that practical trading experience into market analysis, swing signals, live market sessions and trader education.

My earlier career in financial data at Bloomberg and hedge fund research at Preqin gave me the analytical foundation. I bought my first Bitcoin in 2013; independent trading gave me the opportunity to put that research mindset to work with real capital.

Today, I share that approach through market content and one-to-one mentoring. I’m also building Altin Trader Team with AltinTrader—an upcoming community for market analysis, trading education and disciplined execution.

Performance periods & calculation notes

Bitunix: +20.61% is the platform ROI for the 180-day window in the 25 October 2026 snapshot. The 5.75% figure is the platform-reported maximum drawdown for that window, not a future risk limit. The linked profile may now show a different period or later results.

CoinW: each yearly percentage is that year’s profile result divided by the same fixed 10,000 USDT comparison base. The total uses the combined 2023–2025 result on that base. These are unannualized, noncompounded comparisons, not returns calculated on changing account equity. Source: the supplied historical platform records and refined portfolio, slide 7.

Scope: these figures describe the trading profiles and periods shown. They do not represent another trader’s results. The two platforms use different reporting methods and should not be combined into one return.
